Stakeholders for the Following Regulated Agricultural Commodities Cocoa, Coconut, Coffee and Spices

As of June 1, 2020, the Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA) will be accepting applications for renewal and new licenses for the following: coffee; cocoa; coconut; spices (pimento, nutmeg, ginger and turmeric; trade mark user and foreign importer.

Please be advised that no person shall manufacture, distribute, process, export or import, operate as a dealer, or operate a works facility without a license from JACRA. A person who does so is guilty of an offence under the JACRA ACT 2017.

Application forms can be obtained online or the legal department of JACRA.

Effective January 1, 2018, JACRA has been mandated to regulate the trade in coffee, cocoa, coconut, and the spices as well as for authorizing the use of Jamaica Blue Mountain (JBM) & Jamaica High Mountain (JHM) coffee trade marks.

ADJUSTED OFFICE HOURS APRIL 1 – 8, 2020

Dear All,

As you are all aware, an all island curfew has been announced for the period April 1 – 8, 2020.

For the safety and well-being of our employees, we will be adjusting the hours of work. Please be advised that effective April 1-8, 2020, our offices will operate during the hours 8:30 am to 3:30pm, Mondays through Thursdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00pm on Fridays.
