The Jamaica Agricultural Commodities Regulatory Authority (JACRA) is proud to be ISO 9001:2015 certified, demonstrating our commitment to quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Our journey toward this achievement began in January 2018, when JACRA was established through the merger of several commodities boards. At inception, the ISO 9001:2008 certification held by the Coffee Industry Board was carried over to JACRA’s Coffee Division. In February 2019, the Coffee Division successfully transitioned to the updated ISO 9001:2015 standard.

In September 2021, following successful scope expansion audits led by JACRA’s QMS Representative and Lead Auditor, Patrick Pitterson, the Quality Management System (QMS) was broadened to cover all of JACRA’s operations.

Our current QMS scope is as follows:

“Regulation of the agricultural commodities (Coffee, Cocoa, Pimento, Turmeric, Ginger, Nutmeg, and Coconut) in Jamaica, with the provision of certification for Coffee, Cocoa, and Pimento; advisory services on commodity husbandry; and the licensing of nurseries, dealers, processors, and trademark users.”
